Spending a few days with the fam in the Finger Lakes region of upstate NY. The scenery here isn’t as grand or majestic as the western landscape of the US, but it does have its own sort of restrained charm.

Enjoyed a nice 4 mile hike on the Gorge Trail (Robert H Treman State Park) today and definitely appreciated having my lightweight Hakuba tripod instead of my full fledged one. Planned on doing some kayaking on the Lake Cayuga, but there were some thunderstorms in the area so I pretty happily got to watch the Euro Cup finals.

More hiking and some wine tasting should be in store.
